Team #AhhTownley is heading to Fayetteville on Saturday to compete in this competition! Hosted by the University of Arkansas, Animal Science Department, this is their inaugural Boots, Brews, and BBQ, and you enjoy the best barbecue in Arkansas, live music from local NWA musicians, and more!
We had an amazing time, and Team #AhhTownleyBBQ was about middle of the pack. This is a MUST do for any BBQ competition enthusiast! Here are our results:

- Beans – 118 out of 209 teams
- Potato – 149 out of 176 teams
- Turkey – 161 out of 235 teams
- Chicken – 289 out of 440 teams
- Ribs – 172 out of 442 teams
- Pork – 141 out of 441 teams
- Brisket – 211 out of 439 teams
- Overall – 227 out of 444 teams
We give a big congratulations to Team #AhhTownleyBBQ! They won first place in Rib A, sixth place in Rib B, and fourth place in Anything But (Bananas Foster Bread Pudding!). We had an amazing time at the Rib Cook-Off Association Hot Lips BBQ Cookoff in Thornton, Arkansas!
Team #AhhTownleyBBQ once again cooked along the shore of the Arkansas River in the 20th Annual BuzzBQ. This is a GREAT event that brings all our BBQ family together in an effort to show off what you got, on and off the grill, lol. The team turned in some great KCBS-style food and was lucky enough to pick up a 6th place chicken call and a 3rd-place pork call.
This landed us 5th overall in the Average Joe division. More practice will be needed as we prepare for Smoke on the Water in the fall. Read more
