How to Take Care of Your Hot Tub Cover
It’s easy and important to take care of your hot tub cover. In fact, we encourage you to be diligent about your hot tub care especially this year. Why?
Due to the Covid pandemic, we are five months out on new hot tub covers. (If you need one, please order today!).
In this article, we look at how to take care of your hot tub cover with our secret weapon: 303 Aerospace Protectant!
How Often Should I Clean It?
You want to clean it at least once a month. You can clean it more often if you use your hot tub more, or if your cover gets dirty easily. This often depends on where you placed your hot tub.
Your goal is to protect your spa cover from water logging, mildew, fading, and cracking.
To clean it, you first want to rinse it with water from your garden hose. Then, you can spray it with our favorite 303 Aerospace Protectant.
303 Aerospace Protectant blocks UV rays from vinyl spa covers.
Just wipe it on the surface of your cover and use a soft cloth to remove any excess. You can put a bit extra on the seams or low spots that puddle water.
Don’t use it on the inside of your cover.
- Gives 100% prevention from sun fading.
- Restores color and deep luster and keeps your cover shiny.
- Helps your hot tub cover last longer.
- Stops the clock on UV damage.
- Prevents vinyl cracking and sun fading.
Please don’t ever use alcohol, dish soap, harsh cleaners, or laundry detergent on your hot tub cover as they can cause your cover to fail.
Keep Your Spa Cover Dry
When it’s nice outside, take the cover off your spa and unzip the zippers to let it dry out for a few hours.
You want to be careful to keep your cover from being waterlogged. This makes it hard to get off the hot tub, and it can damage it.
