You may have followed our competition BBQ team for the past couple of years. Now, we are cataloging all of our events for you to follow along! Our motto, “Hey, it’s No Big Deal,” is perfect! We’re a bunch of guys who love grilling and competing! Stay tuned for info on our October competitions.

Our Philosophy

We believe that food should be both delicious and well, that’s it! Food taste starts with your eyes. We want to present the very best color, shape, and texture possible. We start out with the best quality products we can find. Having the highest level of food instantly delivers an overall better experience.

Our Story

This concept of BBQ competition started with an initial love of the best flavors: smoke and spice. This is the very core of a good BBQ. We started with some local events and have grown into a highly awarded group. Winning isn’t everything, its the ONLY thing!

Our Team

Our team is made up of experienced eaters, lovers of flavor, and connoisseurs of good times. We have a VAST range of “smartish” people in the form of business owners (s), technical engineers, swingers of golf clubs, doctors of pharmacy, and logistic experts. This “professional” bunch of fierce competitors is proof that five heads are better than one and that no challenge is too great.

Team AhhTownley is Headed to the KCBS Invitational

Team #AhhTownley BBQ is loaded up and headed to the Kansas City Barbeque Society World Championship BBQ Competition in Mayetta, Kansas! The KCBS Invitational is a huge competition, and we’re entering several categories, including pork, ribs, chicken, brisket, turkey, and even cocktails!

The Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving, celebrating, promoting, and educating the public about barbeque as a distinctively American cuisine.

KCBS is the world’s largest organization of barbeque and grilling enthusiasts, with approximately 16,000 members in the U.S. and over 42 countries. KCBS sanctions nearly 400 barbeque contests worldwide each year, including destination contests such as the American Royal World Series of Barbecue® and the Jack Daniel’s Invitational.
