The holidays are a hectic time, and if you’re like us, you’re running around like crazy! But when you have a minute to look around, you really appreciate all the holiday decor. It instantly makes you feel better and so full of spirit!

Well, this year, we’ve put together some Christmas pool decoration ideas. Who says the inside and the front of your house are the only places to decorate? We love decorating our backyard and pool area, too. After all, the weather is often seasonable enough to enjoy it!

Decorate With Lights

You can decorate your backyard, patio, and pool area with beautiful colored or white lights. Hang them from your roof, in the trees around your pool, and on the deck.

You can even add some LED candles, light-up signs, big ornaments in the trees, and even lit Christmas trees around the pool.

Get creative and make your patio landscaping really pop. And don’t forget the firepit for extra ambiance.
If your pool is still open, and you have the ability to change out your lights, opt for red, green, and white. Make your backyard space the perfect place for enjoying some eggnog with friends and family while watching for Santa in the night sky.

Pool Decor Ideas

Have a Backyard Pool Party

Even though it’s chilly, you can still have a backyard pool party. Get some portable heaters and set them around. Light your fireplace or fire pit.

You can create even more ambiance by setting up a large Christmas tree with lights on your patio with boxed “presents” underneath. Simply wrap empty large boxes to add pops of color.
You can also use your large pine trees outside that are planted in the ground if you don’t want to bring in an artificial tree or real tree that you need to dispose of after Christmas.

You Can Have a Christmas Pool Party

With the right decorations and some added heat, you can have a Christmas pool party that your guests beg for next year!

Choose the right food and refreshments, have some dress up like Santa, create the perfect holiday playlist, and you’re ready to go!
