3 Common Hot Tub Problems
You’ve got your hot tub, and you’re enjoying it! That’s great. But, what happens when you’ve got hot tub problems?
Check out this list of common hot tub problems and how to solve them.
1. Your Heater Isn’t Heating
Heating problems aren’t always difficult to solve.
Oftentimes, you can solve your heating problem by simply replacing a heater element.
Other times, it’s a different component causing the issue.
For example, if your pump doesn’t come on, your heater won’t work because the pump has to be running for your spa to heat.
In this case, your problem lies with the pump.
Not sure why your heater isn’t working? It’s a good idea to call a professional.
2. Your Jets Aren’t Working
If your hot tub is running, but nothing is coming out your jets, you’ve got a problem.
You can try twisting the face of the jet to allow for water flow. If you have adjustable jets, you can also turn them down for less water flow or close them all together.
Your jet problem might also be because you just recently refilled your hot tub, and you’re experiencing an air lock.
To solve this problem, loosen the fitting on the pump. This allows the air in the pipe to escape.
Let the water flow for about 10 seconds before you tighten the fitting.
3. Your Pump is Too Loud
If your pump is running loud, you might find that the bearings in your motor are going out. This means the motor might seize up shortly.
You’ll find that this can either be caused by old age or a leaking shaft seal. It’s also possible that motors with bad bearings continue on.
The problem is that the noise will only get louder.
If you’re having this issue, consider replacing your pump, as it will save you money in the long run.
